My favorite fall recipe is Sage, Apple and Cheddar Quiche. Two years ago it was born of necessity!
- Too many apples, I bought more apples when I had some in the fridge.
- Not enough onions, the recipe called for 5 cups.
- No time to run to the store, the oven was preheating and it was after 10 at night.
I’ll use the apples!
If you want to make the crust from scratch read http://daily-craft.blogspot.com/2008/11/happy-birthday-quiche.html. I use rolled pie crusts available in the dairy section near the biscuits.
Here’s a spinach quiche recipe, although I’d omit the cream cheese and add one quarter to one half cup skim milk, http://foodloveswriting.com/2008/11/24/thats-one-point-for-me/.
Anyone tried making quiche with soy milk?
