How often do you take an afternoon off to take care of yourself?
Recently I’ve forgotten to put myself on the calendar!
What do you notice about yourself when you’ve forgotten your ‘recharge time’? Me? I get a bit cranky; it’s most noticeable when I’m driving.
Sunday morning I made a big breakfast and pulled out a novel. I ate breakfast in bed and then read for a couple of hours. Deliciously relaxing!
Five Suggestions for Recharging
- Take a favorite book off the shelf and read for a couple of hours.
- Sit in the park and enjoy the flowering trees and shrubs.
- Go to a movie.
- Take a spa bath.
- Do something spur of the moment.

I honestly try and take at least ONE day a week just for myself. Sheez, if I don’t I’ll go over the rainbow, bars in the window crazy.

Taking a whole day for yourself is amazing. I think it shows you really love yourself. Excellent!!!
I’m at a point in my life where a whole day is tough. Why is it tough? Because I’m growing one business and tapering off another. The situation is temporary, so I think it’s okay. Half a day is pretty good.
