What are your thoughts about the connection between happiness, feeling good and taking care of yourself?
I’m fairly certain we can’t schedule happiness, you know, put it on the calendar like a movie.
However, we can schedule enjoyable things that are likely to lead to happiness.
Five Enjoyable Activities
- Time with a friend
- An art show, ball game or other event
- A potluck dinner
- A walk in the park, on the beach or around the city
- Volunteering at school, church or in the community

I think time spent taking care of yourself sets you up for happiness and feeling good. For me it’s tough to get past distractions like agressive driving, aggravated people and unexpected events when I’m not taking good care of myself.
